In the book of Esther, the Lord has shown favor to the newly crowned queen (Esther) through unlikely circumstances. Queen Esther is at the palace and hears that her cousin Mordecai has covered himself in sackcloth and is standing outside the palace trying to be heard. Queen Esther totally misses the point and the plight of her people’s suffering which Mordecai is trying to convey through his demonstration. Queen Esther, thinking she is helping, sends Mordecai clothes. He sends her back the following message:
“If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14)
So…here comes EASTER. It’s April 16th which is less than 3 weeks away.
Perhaps God has you….
-in your neighborhood
-in your job
-in your stay-at-home mom group with non-Christians
-in your family which are half pagan
-in line at the grocery store with strangers
-in line at Home Depot with someone you haven’t seen in 10 years
….for such a time as this to share your faith and how Christ has set you free.
If the Holy Spirit opens the door, walk through it in belief that God can use you. I would hate to think He couldn’t count on me and went on to find someone else. Easter tends to be a season where people are open to conversations about faith. Take advantage of that in Jesus’ name!
