Living the Phrase: “Less of Me/More of Him”

If you were at church Sunday, then you watched me struggle to say the phrase Less of Me/More of Him. It’s the title of our series for January. I accidentally
said “more of me/less of Him” – haha – AWKWARD! But, if you are like me, it probably reveals a more honest picture than we like to admit. It’s hard sometimes to put God first, others second, and myself third. I’m not sure where I got the idea that being a Christian would be easy, but it has sometimes crept into my thinking that my faith would make my life more comfortable. Ironically, being comfortable doesn’t take much faith. So, I’m praying for us at RFN:

“Lord, help us to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow You more today than yesterday. Help us when we fall short and help us to see ourselves through Your eyes! You see us as a son or daughter of the King. Help us to live up to the glory of Your name with Your Spirit’s help.”

God is on the move. We had a really good membership class Saturday and a very good number of commitments turned in for our Dream a New Dream campaign. We need those commitments by this Sunday. Believing with you that if you step out in faith God will meet you and bless you for advancing His Kingdom.
