Pastor Jim Stewart was born in Lafayette, Indiana, and he has served churches in Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Jim was the Senior Pastor here at RFN from 1982 to 1990.
He was a big fan of Roy Rodgers, evident by the puzzle from his childhood hanging on his home office wall. One of his earliest memories was going to Sunday School because of the neighbors’ invitation on Rally Day. He credits his life long devotion to God to his parents who set the example for him. He and his college-sweetheart, Joan, have been married 47 years and have three grown children: Kimberly, Heather and Jon. Together, they plan on spending a lot more time with their grandchildren in their “retirement years”. Pastor Jim has held various positions in ministry from janitor to Senior Pastor. He is still very much dedicated to the deep and abiding sense of God’s call upon his life, the desire to daily please and glorify Him. Pastor Jim has a genuine love for people, to encourage and help them on their spiritual journey.
